Brad Hargett – Chief Executive Officer

Brad Hargett brings over 27 years of data storage and protection industry experience to InQuinox where he serves as CEO.  Over his career, he has played key roles in ramping up several successful start-up companies, including Pyramid Technology and OpenVision (merged with VERITAS in 1997).  Prior to joining InQuinox, he served various roles within NetApp, including Business Development Manager and Channel Manager for the Storage Security (Decru) Business Unit.  Prior to NetApp, Hargett held several director-level positions within Symantec/VERITAS, where he grew the U.S. Central Area sales territory from two people in 1994 to teams as large as eighty-five.  Towards the end of his career at Symantec, the Central Area was operating at a revenue run rate of $270 million.  He was also instrumental in creating Symantec’s Field Technology Group in 2001, a global organization that provided subject matter experts to support the international sales effort.  Hargett holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa and a MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Ray Schafer – Founder and Chief Technical Officer

Ray Schafer founded InQuinox in November 2007, with the expressed purpose of solving the seemingly intractable problems of data storage today.  He has successfully assembled a team of like-minded individuals comprised of proven innovators, technology futurists, adept consultants and software developers.  Regarded as an authority on data storage, protection and restoration solutions, he is a frequent speaker at technical seminars and conferences.  His nearly quarter century of information technology and data protection industry experience combined with ongoing consulting engagements with IT executives and managers has made him sensitive to the challenges caused by data proliferation and inefficient solutions that CIOs are facing.  Prior to forming InQuinox, Schafer was a Technical Product Manager for NetBackup covering NetBackup Bare Metal Restore, Snapshot Client, Flexible Disk and OpenStorage options in NetBackup.  He came to Symantec by way of the VERITAS acquisition in 2005 and to VERITAS from the TKG acquisition in 2001, where he worked as a consultant, software developer and lead sales engineer.  At TKG, Schafer was one of the inventors of the computer systems and restoration method now used in the Symantec NetBackup Bare Metal Restore product (US Patent 6,931,558).  Before TKG, he worked as a member of the AIX Base Device Drivers development team at IBM.  Schafer holds a B.A. in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin, and has completed graduate work at UT Austin pursuant to his PhD in Microbiology.

Roy “Te” Turner – Chief Financial Officer

Roy “Te” Turner is a senior financial executive, investor and entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience.  Prior to joining InQuinox as CFO, Turner was a Managing Partner of Austin Atlantic Management, LP, a money management firm focused on managing a long/short equity hedge fund.  He also served as Managing Partner of Pizza Rica, LP, a six-unit pizza restaurant company, and as the CFO, secretary and director of Fired UP, Inc., the owner-operator and franchisor of the Johnny Carino’s Country Italian restaurant chain.  Prior to joining Fired Up, he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Corporate Finance at the investment banking firm, Stephens, Inc.  During his investment banking career, Turner handled in excess of $8 billion in M&A and corporate finance transactions.  He began his career with IBM in financial planning and control located in Westchester County, NY, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Turner has a BA from Rice University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.  He also holds a License in Applied Economics from the Université’ Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mitchell Mikula – Vice President, Software Development

Mitchell Mikula leads software development for InQuinox.  Before joining InQuinox, the software development industry veteran designed and led the development of NetBackup Bare Metal Restore (BMR), a data protection product from Symantec/VERITAS.  During his two-decade career, Mikula has worked on the AIX kernel, device drivers and a microkernel for IBM; designed diagnostic device drivers for the Motorola Computer Group; and worked on the internals of multiple secure UNIX implementations, including a secure graphical workstation.  Mikula holds a BS in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
