SanXfer provides the ability to move data from one SAN platform to another, regardless of the vendors involved, supporting both homogeneous and heterogeneous storage platforms. The preinstalled SX3 appliance can be connected to both original and new SANs or iSCSI disk arrays, and can perform high speed data migrations.

The SX3 comes in two models, a 1U rack mounted system (SX3-1000) intended for enterprise customers, and a small form factor system (SX3-500) intended for data migration consultants.

SanXfer's Data TranXfer feature includes an intuitive wizard-driven interface which further simplifies the process of migrating data between similar or non-similar storage platforms while supporting multiple data transfer sessions per server.

SanXfer can perform migrations over FC and IP networks, optimizing use of your existing network investment. Also, during the data migration of VM partitions, Data TranXfer will correctly align VM partitions on the target storage, potentially increasing virtual machine performance by 30% or more.
